This book is a limited-run Easton Press Masterpieces of Science Fiction Collector's Edition of Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke. It is bound in rich burgundy colored full leather and accented in 22kt gold. The hubbed spine has multiple raised bands dividing it into panels. In 22k gold stamping, the spine reads CHILDHOOD'S END, with Arthur C. Clarke below; other spine panels contain small framed 22k gold decorative emblems. The page edges are 22k gold gilded. It is printed on acid-neutral archival quality paper and built with Smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints. It includes a pristine bookplate on the inside of the front cover. The front board is framed by a thin double line 22k gold border and carries a 22k gold line illustration: a cigar-shaped spacecraft near the upper right; a dense clustered, cloud like mass beneath it; several outlined rings/circles are scattered across the lower half; and a small standing human figure is near the lower right edge. This edition includes original artwork by Richard Powers and an introduction by George Zebrowski. It is single owner, unread, from a private collection, always stored in dust-free bookcases in a dry climate, and the condition is pristine / as new / unread.
